It's Summer, But Don't Break Up With Your Face Oil!
Posted by Brittany Cochran on

Itโs summer now so face oils are out, right? Nope! Hereโs why you should stay committed.
Face oils add crucial vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants that our skin needs no matter what the temperature is outside.
Two words: Air Conditioning. You know it will be blasting. And guess whatโthat dries out your skin! Face oils keep the moisture in your skin from evaporating into thin air.
Using a face oil can actually reduce oilyness, yes really! Our skin will produce oil if it doesnโt feel hydrated. Giving your skin the oil it wants in your skincare routine keeps it from overproducing the extra oil and sebum you donโt want.
BUT you can consider switching to a lightweight or dry oil like Freck Beauty Cactus Seed Dry Serum. Its hero ingredientโPrickly Pear Seed Oilโis a powerful anti-inflammatory and healing oil that will not only hydrate, but also calm redness, help heal sunburn and lighten sun spots.
And doesnโt that sound like an ideal summer oil to you? Yep, me too! Iโve been using this oil for a while now, and when I put it on I can literally see the redness melt away. 10/10 recommended!โ

Is 2020 the year of intentions?
Posted by Brittany Cochran on
So many of our friends are setting intentions for 2020, checking in with their deepest desires and coming up with ways to live their values more authentically in their daily lives. Which is a lovely way to replace the tired trope ofย โresolutionsโ that generally crop up every year. โNew Year New Youโ is actually unbelievably toxicโplease, please stop with that. Healthy growth is gradual and organicโit happens everyday with every experience. But we want to stress this pointโthe YOU on December 31st is the same YOU on Jan1โwhich is to sayโbeautiful, wonderful and worthy of respect and adoration.ย
We hope your intentions this year includes appreciating yourself more. Giving yourself the rest and replenishment necessary to rise to the challenges when presented with opportunities. And be the ultimate keeper of yourself and all your physical and emotional needs, because no one is going to take care of you like you can.ย
Enjoy 2020 and always, always be good to yourself, queen!
Party on!
